Boyana 49 House is a residential building project by I/O architects. It is situated on a Vitosha mountain North slope facing Sofia in a close proximity to the city.
The architects invited me to capture the project near to its completion by the end of last year. I did two visits one to do a recce in October and then the actual shoot in December. So you can see here few of the first shots and also the finished images selected by the architect and published in ArchDaily. Where you can read more about the project and see some architectural drawings.
It was interesting and challenging for me to show how the building melt in its environment. I chose to photograph the building mainly when the elevations are not on a direct sunlight or when the sun is behind the house. That way I can see the lighted trees reflecting in the building.
